Stop by Red Reef Park, it's a 67 acre ocean front park which includes Gumbo Limbo Environmental Education Center on over 20 acres. It is a day time park with hours of operation from 8AM - 10PM, 7 days per week. Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is open Monday - Saturday 9AM - 4PM and also on Sunday from Noon - 4PM. This park has a picnic area with grills, tables and restrooms. Sorry no open fires are permitted. Facilities are first come first serve only. Sorry no pets allowed at this park or on the beach. Lifeguards are on duty year round from 9 AM to 5PM.
Snorkeling is popular at the south end of the beach because there are unique rock formations. Take a nature walk through heavily foliated areas and key your eye out for wild life, mainly birds and beach creatures. Nature related programming is conducted through the facilities at the Gumbo Limbo Environmental Education Center. Call 338-1473 for program information. No fishing during swimming hours. (9AM - 5PM) No alcohol, drugs, nudity, pets or fireworks are allowed.
