On Friday, May 7, 2010, the LLS had the 2010 Creative Black Tie and Casino Night - Benefit for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society held at Hugh's Catering. 100% of the ticket prices went straight to LLS. The night had an Open Bar, Heavy Hors D'oeuvres, Dessert, Cappuccino, Silent Auction, Poker Tables, Live Band, Wii Fit Olympics, Door Prizes, Award for Most Creative Attire. So much fun was had. We certainly can't wait for the next one!
2008 EVENTS!
On Friday, May 9th, 2008 the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Journey of Hope Gala celebrated the 2008 Man & Woman of the Year at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The nights entertainment included a delicious dinner, open bar and a Live & Silent Auction.
Grammy Award Winning Vocalist, Terry Barber had a Benefit Concert for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on May 6th, 2008.
2007 BOY & GIRL OF THE YEAR
This is a photo of Sofia Blanco and Ricardo "Bam Bam" Torres. Ricardo was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia when he was 2 years old. After years of chemotherapy and numerous hospital stays, he was able to celebrate his 5th birthday. Sofia was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma when she was 4 years old in 2003. After years of chemotherapy and drug treatment, she is now showing signs of remission. All funds are raised in honor of Ricardo and Sofia.
