Brooke held a food drive in her home, and after researching local food pantries, donated the collected items to Boca Helping Hands. When she delivered the goods, she was welcomed by a warm and caring staff that inspired her to explore volunteer opportunities.
After attending a volunteer orientation, she was hooked. Inspired by the success of the many programs serving individuals and families in crisis, Brooke realized her skills could best support the organization behind the scenes. Shortly after beginning as a volunteer, she became the first Development Director at Boca Helping Hands. In this role, she has helped fund the organization’s growth as its client base has expanded significantly.
As the need to serve a growing number of clients increased, Boca Helping Hands received a transformational donation. The Remillard Family Resource Center will bring all programs under one roof, including hot meals, homebound meals, the food pantry, job mentoring, financial assistance, and children’s programs.
Boca Helping Hands is a local accredited agency dedicated to providing compassionate service through food and assistance programs. Its mission is to support individuals, families, and children while promoting dignity and helping break the cycle of dependence.
