Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Fla. is kicking off the official season of giving by helping to feed children worldwide. On Thursday, December 18th, Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Fla. will host the Micki Free Experience, featuring Grammy® Award Winner Micki Free; Jon Brant, formerly of Cheap Trick and Curly Smith, formerly of Boston. Proceeds from the event will benefit WHY, a nonprofit organization that strives to fight against hunger and poverty in America and around the world.

In addition, Native American Music Award “Best Artist of the Year” winner Martha Redbone will give a special performance as part of Native Music Rocks. Native Music Rocks is a traveling musical and cultural showcase that aims to bring the healing power of Native music and song to Indian Country and beyond.

The event is part of Hard Rock International’s 2008 worldwide “Imagine There’s No Hunger” campaign, which hopes to raise awareness for child hunger and poverty through the sale of a benefit compilation CD SERVE3, as well as additional “Imagine There’s No Hunger” merchandise. Proceeds from the campaign will be donated directly to seven children’s charities in Kenya, Haiti, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Venezuela and New Orleans.
