The 14th Annual Wine & Culinary Celebration will take place at the Museum of Discovery and Science was on Friday, April 24, 2009 in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Named one of the “10 Best Annual Fort Lauderdale Events” in 2007 by Gold Coast Magazine, the Wine & Culinary Celebration featured a progressive sequence of wine and food pairings, each bound to delight, educate and entertain guests. Over 30 of South Florida’s top restaurants and chefs were represented, as well as wines from wineries around the world, courtesy of Southern Wine and Spirits. The event also featured a silent auction and a complimentary wine glass for every guest.
The evening began with an exclusive VIP martini reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. VIP guests enjoyed wine tasting seminars and VIP access to the Grand Tasting. The VIP evening concluded with an exclusive after hours delight in the VIP Lounge.
With an estimated 1,200 guests expected, this celebration is anticipated to raise approximately over $150,000 to benefit the Museum of Discovery and Science. The exclusive beverage sponsor for this amazing event was Southern Wine and Spirits. ABOUT THE MUSEUM OF DISCOVERY AND SCIENCE
The mission of the Museum of Discovery and Science is to provide experiential pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs and films. Founded in 1976 as The Discovery Center, the nonprofit facility serves over 450,000 visitors annually.
