When my friend invited me to the Women That Win event last Saturday (January 13, 2007) I thought, Okay, it might be fun. I was expecting a typical health/wellness/business event, the kind I have been to many times, informative and predictable. Surprise! I was totally blown away! This entire day was so dynamic. I have never learned so much from so many great speakers in only one day. Every single presentation was outstanding! The food was good and plentiful and the company of the knowledgeable business women was so beyond my expectations. Thank you Kellie, and thank you Women Wellness Society. I just wanted to thank you for the involvement that you gave me and Boca Gift Baskets for your event this weekend. You put on a top notch event and I was very impressed. Kate Volman, Co-Founder of Women that Win, has always had a passion for helping women achieve their goals. With nearly five years of experience working for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, venturing out to start a women’s organization was simply a natural progression for her career.

Women that Win is the Women's Wellness Society's newest program designed to assist women in taking their careers to the next level. The first seminar took place on January 13th and was an overwhelming success!

Kate’s Chamber career started as a Sales and Marketing representative in 2002. After four months she was promoted to Director of Programs, later to Manager of Business Development and finally to Manager of Business & Government Relations. During her tenure, she assisted in the creation of two new programs, Successful Women in Business and Young Business Professionals. Both programs continue to thrive each year. She also created The Splash of Gold Fashion Show which soon became the major fund raising event for the Chamber’s Golden Bell Education Foundation.

Through her various positions at the chamber, community relations was always a factor. She constantly strived to provide Chamber members with opportunities to network as well as become educated on a variety of topics in order to grow their business and help them become successful. Kate has always demonstrated a passion for helping others achieve their goals.

Kate currently lives in Boca Raton and is actively involved in her community. She supports many charitable organizations including The American Cancer Society, The George Snow Scholarship Fund, Boca Raton Educational Television, Palm Beach Community College’s Summer Youth College, March of Dimes and The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Kate has recently developed a program called FAB (Female & Beautiful) to help promote positive self-esteem among young women which she teaches at Palm Beach Community College. She was featured in the Boca Raton News in 2006 highlighting this new program.

Kate was selected as a finalist for the 2006 South Florida Business Journal’s Up & Comers Award and for the Soroptimist International Women of Distinction award. She recently received the Making a Difference Award from Soroptimist International for her work with women and girls. Kate received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Florida State University in 2001.

Her future endeavors include continuing to make Women that Women an affordable and insightful seminar that enables women to walk away with specific tools to take their careers to the next level. She will assist in conducting three seminars locally per year and is currently working on plans for western expansion later in 2007. She will also head up national expansion and membership benefits for its sister company, Women’s Wellness Society, which was established in June of 2005. Her plans are to bring her FAB program into both company’s and establish it into a foundation that will continue to inspire young women in their teenage years to never stop short of their goals and dreams.

Although Kate will be sorely missed at the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, her efforts will continue to impact our community!
